David Francey - Midway

CAPO: 4th Fret

INTRO: C F C F C F C

CHORUS:

Down on the midway
F C
Down on the midway-ay
F
Night turned into day
C
Down at the fair

Down on the midway
F C
Down on the midway-ay
F
Night turned into day
C
Down at the fair

Well, there's somebody making noise
F C
And it's one of the foundry boys
F
He found a girl to romance
C
So he hasn't a care

They're walking hand in hand
F C
Down by the barker's stand
F
Love is a game of chance
C
A straight or a pair
F
And love is a game of chance
C
A straight or a pair

Young family come into town
F C
Put the kids on the merry-go-round
F
Young boys staring down their fears
C
Pointing up in the air

Lights tumble like shooting stars
F C
On the barns and the bars and cars
F
Young girls in a house of mirrors
C
Combing their hair
F
Young girls in a house of mirrors
C
Combing their hair

CHORUS:

And down on the midway
F C
Down on the midway-ay
F
Night turned into day
C
Down at the fair

And down on the midway
F C
Down on the midway-ay
F
Rag end of summer hangs
C
Up in the air

INSTRUMENTAL: C F C F C F C F C F C

And after the country band
F C
All stand around shaking hands
F
And the talk of the Summer's sins
C
Are a reason to stay

'Cause the end of the Summer's gone
F C
With the coming of Monday morn
F
Start of the Fall begins
C
At the dawn of the day
F
And the start of the Fall begins
C
At the dawn of the day

CHORUS:

And down on the midway
F C
Down on the midway-ay
F
Night turned into day
C
Down at the fair
F
Young girls in a house of mirrors
C
Combing their hair
F
And the rag end of summer hangs
C
Up in the air
