Biografia:
Charlyn Marie Marshall, ou Chan Marshall, é a cantora que se autodenomina Cat Power quando sobe ao palco.
Nascida em Atlanta, Georgia, em 21 de janeiro de 1972, filha de um pianista, desde muito cedo entrou em contato com a música. Desde a adolescência se apresentava em pequenos bares em Atlanta, largando depois o ensino médio para morar em Nova Iorque. Lá, sob o nome de Cat Power, realizou seu primeiro show em um Pub no Brooklin, segundo ela uma apresentação de improvisações, entre 1992 e o ano seguinte.
