Biografia:
Os Bronski Beat surgiram da reunião do entusiasmo de três amigos, que partilhavam um pequeno apartamento em Brixton (Londres) em 1983.
Com apenas nove concertos apresentados viram-se a assinar um contrato com a London Records, estreando-se discograficamente em Junho de 1984 com o single Smalltown Boy. A canção levantava uma série de questões, da homofobia à solidão, passando pelas formas de incompreensão que nascem na família perante a descoberta da homossexualidade de um filho
