Mishra nasceu em Rourkela, India, em 30 de Julho de 1966, e vive em Inglaterra desde os seus 3 anos de idade. White Town é relembrado de um grande êxito do ano 1997 com a música "Your Woman", que alcançou o 1º lugar dos "UK Singles Chart" em Janeiro desse mesmo ano e o 23º lugar nos "U.S. Billboard Hot 100" dos Estados Únidos da América.
