Biografia:
Rainbow foi uma banda de rock formada pelo fundador do Deep Purple, guitarrista Ritchie Blackmore em 1975. Além de Blackmore, a banda inicialmente consistia de antigos membros da banda Elf; vocalista Ronnie James Dio, tecladista Mickey Lee Soule, baixista Craig Gruber e baterista Gary Driscoll. Ao passar dos anos, Rainbow passou por muitas mudanças.
A banda se separa em 1984 quando Ritchie Blackmore volta ao Deep Purple. Em 1990 Joe Lynn Turner também se junta ao Deep Purple para lançar o disco Slaves and Masters
