Biografia:
O Player surgiu em Los Angeles em 1977. No mesmo ano, passaram a fazer a abertura dos shows de Gino Vanelli. Depois fizeram turnês com Eric Clapton, kenny Loggins, Boz Scaggs e o grupo Heart.
O grupo assinou contrato com a gravadora RSO do então badalado Robert Stigwood, que na época também produzia os Bee Gees em sua fase áurea. No início de 1978 lançaram um compacto que trazia a música "Baby, Come Back". Em poucos dias chegaram ao primeiro lugar das paradas, ocupando essa posição durante três semanas consecutivas.
