Be Your Own Pet foi uma banda de Nashville (Tennessee, EUA) de indie rock, formada em 2003 no porão da casa dos Orrall (Jamin Orrall, antigo baterista, e Jake Orrall, antigo guitarrista).
Descobertos por Thustorn Moore (Sonic Youth), a banda é formada por Jemina Pearl Abegg (vocalista), Jonas Stein (guitarra), John Eatherley (bateria) e Nathan Vasquez (baixo).
Seu som é bem cru, riffs pesados de guitarra, vocais abrasivos e ritmos irregulares.
