A singular criatividade dos Young Marble Giants, no seio dos então novos grupos que emergiram em Inglaterra findo o apogeu do punk, ofereceu-lhes um estatuto único e quase incomparável. O grupo, formado por Alison Statton, e Stuart e Phillip Moxham, reuniu-se em 1978, no País de Gales.
