Nacido y criado en Atlanta, Georgia, YFN Lucci creció escuchando a gente como Tupac, Hot Boys, Ja Rule, Dipset, Lil ’Wayne y Fabolous.
Motivado por su hermano mayor y el rapero "K", YFN Lucci descubrió su propio talento musical a los 16 años y comenzó a desarrollar su juego de palabras. Un año más tarde, se conectó con el colega Johnny Atlanta, un artista de rap que animó a Lucci a tomar en serio su talento y entrar en el estudio.
