Biografia:
Poliker was born in Kiryat Haim, a suburb of Haifa, Israel. Poliker is the son of Holocaust survivors deported to Auschwitz from Salonika, Greece.
Poliker's father, Zoko, tells the story of his escape in the 1988 film Because of That War (Biglal Hamilhamah Hahi), which features music by his son.
His music combines rock with Greek and other Mediterranean musical styles. He plays guitar, bouzouki, and baglama and was a member of the 1980s Israeli rock band Benzeen.

The song was written by Zruya Lahav and composed and performed by Yehuda Poliker,
in memory of the girls who were killed in the 1985 bombing of Ras Burqa in Sinai,
in which seven Israelis were murdered, including four children. According to Lahav,
the song was written in the mid-1980s with the encouragement of Gidi Gov.

The meaning of: "Perach, flower", is for the little girl who died.
