Biografia:
O grupo de black metal Watain emergiu de Uppsala, Suécia, em 1998, rapidamente ganhando credibilidade underground com um lançamento descompromissado de 7" entitulado "The Essence Of Black Purity", então solidificando seu compromisso às artes do dark metal através do tematicamente chocante (i.e. odes freqüentes à Satã e seus amigos), porém instrumentalmente consumado álbum "Rabis Death's Curse". Este foi então seguido por lançamentos incrementalmente elogiados mas sempre confiavelmente extremos como o ao-vivo "Ritual Macabre"
