Walking On Cars

I Took A Pill In Ibiza

por Walking On Cars
Walking On Cars

Biografia:

Imbued with a charming determination to reach out from the surf and ruggedness of Corca Dhuibhne (Dingle Peninsula) in Ireland, Walking On Cars are giving every chance to achieving their ambitions in 2014. With the completion of their debut EP, some high profile performances (including Other Voices, the Late Late show, supporting Paramore in the O2) and sell out shows all over the country, it cannot be long before Walking On Cars are heard far beyond the most westerly tip of this island.

[Verse]

Dm
I took a pill in Ibiza
C
To show Avicii I was cool
Bb
And when I finally got sober, felt ten years older
C
But fuck it, it was something to do
Dm
I'm living out in LA
C
I drive a sports car just to prove
Bb
I'm a real big baller 'cause I made a million dollars
C
And I spend it on girls and shoes

[Chorus]

Dm
But you don't wanna be high like me
C
Never really knowing why like me
Bb F
You don't ever wanna step off that roller coaster and be all alone
Dm
You don't wanna ride the bus like this
C
Never knowing who to trust like this
Bb
You don't wanna be stuck up on that stage singing
F
Stuck up on that stage singing
Dm C Bb F
All I know are sad songs, sad songs
Dm C Bb F
Darling, all I know are sad songs, sad songs

[Verse]

Dm C
I'm just a singer who already blew his shot
Bb
I get along with old timers
C
'Cause my name's a reminder of a pop song people forgot
Dm
And I can't keep a girl, no
C
'Cause as soon as the sun comes up
Bb
I cut 'em all loose and work's my excuse
C
But the truth is I can't open up

[Chorus]

Dm
Now you don't wanna be high like me
C
Never really knowing why like me
Bb F
You don't ever wanna step off that roller coaster and be all alone
Dm
You don't wanna ride the bus like this
C
Never knowing who to trust like this
Bb
You don't wanna be stuck up on that stage singing
F
Stuck up on that stage singing
Dm C Bb F
All I know are sad songs, sad songs
Dm C Bb F
Darling, all I know are sad songs, sad songs

[Verse]

Dm
I took a plane to my home town
C
I brought my pride and my guitar
Bb
All my friends are all gone but there's manicured lawns
C
And the people still think I'm a star
Dm
I walked around downtown
C
I met some fans on Lafayette
Bb
They said tell us how to make it 'cause we're getting real impatient
C
So I looked 'em in the eye and said

[Chorus]

Dm
You don't wanna be high like me
C
Never really knowing why like me
Bb F
You don't ever wanna step off that roller coaster and be all alone
Dm
You don't wanna ride the bus like this
C
Never knowing who to trust like this
Bb
You don't wanna be stuck up on that stage singing
F
Stuck up on that stage singing
Dm C Bb F
All I know are sad songs, sad songs
Dm C Bb F
Darling, all I know are sad songs, sad songs
