The The é um grupo de música e multimedia Inglês que existe desde 1979 em várias formas, sendo Matt Johnson o único membro constante da banda. Os The The não lançam albuns com muita regularidade mas ao longo dos anos já venderam vários milhões de discos pelo mundo fora.
Dada a época em que surgiram os The The o grupo está classificado no artigo em Inglês como New Wave mas quanto a estilos deambulou muito, de músicas psicadélicas no "Burning Blue Soul" a Synthpop no Soul Mining
