Biografia:
The Solids foi formada no verão de 1996 por Carter Bays e Craig Thomas em Middletown, Connecticut. Patrick Butler e Nick Coleman se juntaram à dupla para o primeiro show da banda em setembro de 1996 no campus da Wesleyan University, onde todos estudavam.
A banda ficou famosa através da música "The Future Is Now", que se tornou tema de abertura da série Oliver Beene do canal FOX. Atualmente, um trecho de sua música "Hey Beautiful" pode ser visto
