The Murmurs foi um duo americano pop/alternativo composto de duas cantoras e compositoras: Leisha Hailey e Heather Grody.
Leisha Hailey e Heather Grody começaram a tocar como The Murmurs em 1991 enquanto eram estudantes da Academia Americana de Artes Dramáticas. Com o álbum independente Who We Are, elas começaram a tocar pelas redondezas de Manhattan, Nova Iorque. Em 1994, assinaram com a MCA Records e lançaram um EP chamado The Murmurs. O grupo
