Biografia:
Formando no meio dos anos 80, o The Dream Academy destoava das demais bandas britânicas por não seguir a linha pós-punk vigente na época. Seu som estava muito mais ligado ao insipiente movimento psicodélico, que ganhou mais destaque apenas no final da década de 80. Seu estilo chamou a atenção de David Gilmour (Pink Floyd), produtor do álbum de estréia, chamado apenas de The Dream Academy.
Formado pelo guitarrista e vocalista Nick Laird-Clowes, ex-integrante da banda Act, além da multi-instrumentista Kate St.
