Durante suas apresentações demonstra estágio da energia elevada, veste-se geralmente em roupas coloridas brilhantes com seu simbolo da marca registrada que pendura em seu microfone.
O pai de Steven Tyler é descedente de italianos e alemães e sua mãe é de ascendência russa.
