Biografia:
Simone Bittencourt de Oliveira, conhecida apenas como Simone, (Salvador, 25 de dezembro de 1949) é uma cantora brasileira.
Convidada por sua amiga e professora de violão, Elodir Barontini, Simone participou de um jantar na casa do então gerente de marketing da gravadora Odeon, Moacir Machado, o Môa. Neste encontro, especialmente marcado para que ela mostrasse sua voz, ao final veio o convite para assinar um contrato, não para um, mas quatro LPs de uma só vez, para gravadora: Simone fez muito sucesso no teste e foi logo aprovada.
