Biografia:
Samantha Crain foi criada na rural Shawnee, Oklahoma, uma cidade cuja remota localização influenciou sua peculiar e terrosa interpretação da música folk. Embora inspirada pelos sons da coleção de músicas de seu pai, incluindo Bob Dylan e Grateful Dead, uma adolescente Samantha ganhou ainda mais consolo na música de seu estado natal, indo da americana de raízes de Woody Guthrie até os experimentos sônicos de The Flaming Lips. Ela depois inscreveu-se na Oklahoma Baptist University
