Biografia:
Salem es el cuarto de seis hermanos de la familia Al Fakir, y según él, el menos talentoso de todos ellos.
Creció en Huddinge, un barrio de Estocolmo, de madre sueca y padre de Damasco. A los cuatro años forzó a sus padres a pagarle clases de violín, y por aquella época también empezó a jugar a sacarle notas al piano de su casa.
Unos años más tarde ya estaba componiendo arreglos corales y componiendo música para el grupo que tenía junto a su hermano menos Sami, Simon & Simon.
