Biografia:
Raycharles LaMontagne nasceu em Nashua, New Hampshire, em 1974. Atualmente, mora em Wilton, Maine. Seus pais se separaram logo após seu nascimento, porque sua mãe, que viajava constantemente, resolveu se mudar para o Norte do país. Ray ficou anos sem ter contato com o pai, que também é músico.
Por causa das constantes mudanças, Ray tinha muita dificuldade fazer amizade com outras crianças. Os anos se passaram e Ray não superou as dificuldades. Brigava com outros alunos, tirava notas baixas e por pouco não se formou no segundo grau.
