Biografia:
Robert Wyatt, nascido Robert Ellidge, em Bristol em 28 de Janeiro de 1945, é um músico inglês da cena de Canterbury, e ex-membro da banda Soft Machine.
Quando adolescente, viveu com seus pais em uma casa de hóspedes de 14 quartos na Geórgia, chamada Wellington House, em Lydden, próxima a Canterbury. Lá ele recebeu aulas de bateria do baterista de jazz americano George Niedorf.
Em 1962, Wyatt e Niedorf se mudaram para Majorca onde ficaram com o poeta Robert Graves.
