Biografia:
Papas Fritas nace en 1992 en Massachusetts como resultado de la unión de tres estudiantes de la universidad de Tufts - el guitarrista Tony Goddess, la batería Shivika Asthana y el bajista Keith Gendel - con la única intención de hacer canciones pop sin pretensiones, bonitas y bailables.
El curioso nombre del grupo es consecuencia de una confusión de traducción de la expresión "papas fritas", ellos estaban convencidos de que lo que oían en realidad era "pop has freed us".
