O Mudhoney é uma das mais importantes bandas da cena de Seattle, apesar de não ser uma das mais conhecidas. A história do Mudhoney envolve várias outras bandas e projetos antes do início efectivo da banda.
A história do Mudhoney começa muito antes da banda ser estabelecida. No início da década de 80 quando Mark Arm formou sua primeira banda, os Mr. Epp and the Calculations. Era uma banda "fantasma" que não compunha canções ou tocava instrumentos, era uma bagunça generalizada e barulhenta.

words, plus I play it in a different key (1/2 step lower), so here's the

Not only is this a really fun song to play, but if you play the chords
the way I do, it's incredibly easy, even for the beginning guitar
player. It makes a great song for any low-brow garage band to warm up
to. Now, as far as lyrics go, I just sing whatever sounds right (i.e.
these lyrics may be completely off)
