Biografia:
Montrose era uma californiana de hard rock/heavy metal da banda. A banda originalmente era composta por Ronnie Montrose na guitarra, o futuro Van Halen e Chickenfoot, o vocalista Sammy Hagar. O quarteto original ainda contava com o baixista Bill Church e com o baterista Denny Carmassi. Antes de formar a banda, Ronnie Montrose foi um músico bem sucedido (a tocar, junto com Bill Church em Van Morrison - Tupelo Honey álbum, produzido por Ted Templeman.
