Biografia:
Martin Lee Gore é membro fundador e principal compositor do Depeche Mode. Gore começou tocando violão em um duo folk chamado "Norman and The Worms" em sua cidade natal, Basildon, até conhecer Vince Clarke e formar a "Composition of Sound", que também contava com Andy Fletcher no baixo. Nesta banda, Martin optou pelo sintetizador, influenciando os dois outros membros a também optarem pelo instrumento. Após a adição de David Gahan nos vocais e a mudança de nome para "Depeche Mode"
