Biografia:
Lisa Jane Stansfield nasceu no dia 11 de abril de 1966, em Manchester, na Inglaterra. Aos 11 anos, mudou-se com a família para a cidade de Rochdale. A música sempre esteve presente em sua vida, sua mãe sempre colocava para as três filhas discos de Diana Ross, The Supremes, Marvin Gaye e Barry White. Desde pequena, Lisa costumava cantar pela casa.
A primeira experiência com um público não familiar foi aos 14 anos, quando participou de um concurso de talentos em uma TV local.
