Biografia:
Lipps Inc (pronunciado "lip sync") foi uma banda de estúdio que alcançou um êxito significante, "Funkytown" em 1980. A canção foi considerada, por alguns, a última música disco a atingir o primeiro lugar nos charts americanos.
O grupo formou-se em Minneapolis por Steven Greenberg, que escreveu e produziu todas as músicas do grupo e também tocou vários instrumentos. A vocalista era Cynthia Johnson, e o restante grupo era composto por músicos de sessão que variavam constantemente, incluindo o guitarrista David Rivkin.
