Adam Green e Kimya Dawson conheceram-se numa loja de discos em Nova Iorque e passado alguns meses já partilhavam o palco com os “The Strokes”. Os 19 temas do seu álbum homónimo parecem tocados em casa, na garagem, no corredor, ou em qualquer outra divisão (vulgo “lo-fi”?). Sem grandes arranjos (ou até “completamente desarranjadas”) são acima de tudo melodias simples, com princípio meio e fim, despidas de artifícios mirabolantes.
