A sonoridade dos Something Corporate é muito influenciada pelo piano do cantor/compositor, Andrew McMahon, de 26 anos de idade. Se o indie-rock alguma vez pudesse ser apelidado de elegante, então esse seria o som desta banda.
Oriundos de Santa Monica/Orange County, Califórnia, a banda gravou o muito aclamado EP "Audioboxer"
