Biografia:
Sleater-Kinney é uma banda formada em 1994 em Olympia, Washington, Estados Unidos, atua no cenário rock alternativo e é influenciada pelo movimento Riot Grrrl.
O nome da banda veio da estrada "Sleater-Kinney Road" em Olympia, perto de um dos locais usados no início da banda para ensaios.
Em 1992, o Sleater-Kinney era apenas um projeto paralelo das guitarristas Carrie Brownstein (Excuse 17) e Corin Tucker (Heavens to Betsy) ambas respeitáveis bandas feministas.
