Biografia:
Thomas Rhett Akins Jr. nasceu em 30 de março de 1990 em Valdosta, Geórgia, sudeste dos Estados Unidos. Ele cresceu ouvindo Merle Haggard, Hank Williams, Led Zeppelin e The Rolling Stones. Rhett é filho do cantor e compositor Rhett Akins.
Em 2010, Rhett co-escreveu a canção "I Ain't Ready to Quit" de Jason Aldean contida no álbum My Kinda Party e assinou contrato com a gravadora Valory Music Group, subsidiária da Big Machine Records. No final de 2012

Looking at some tabs they sound good, but I like to play what the artist does, so after
looking at live versions he plays I think tuned down 1/2 step but Capo on 1st (standard
then) I don't know the official names of chords but the fingerings are right and I'll
just call them what others had but show correct finger positions all relative to capo:
