Os membros originais foram Martha Wash e Izora Armstead. Elas são mais conhecidas por seu hit disco de 1982, "It's Raining Men".
Embora o grupo seja considerado ' one hit wonder' pelo mercado pop mainstream, elas eram anteriormente conhecidas como Two Tons O’ Fun, que alcançaram a posição # 2 na Billboard Hot Dance Club Play Chart com: “Earth Can Be Just Like Heaven” (1980); “Just Us” (1980 e também fez # 29 sobre o US R&B chart), e da música "I Got The Feeling” em 1981.
