Joan Anita Barbara Armatrading, MBE (nascida em 09 de dezembro de 1950) é uma cantora britânica, compositora e guitarrista. Armatrading é três vezes indicada ao Grammy Award e foi nomeada duas vezes para o Brit Awards como Melhor Artista Feminina. Ela também recebeu um prêmio Ivor Novello de Música Contemporânea incrível coleção em 1996. Ao longo de sua carreira, ela só tem sempre cantado as canções que ela escreveu e que não registou qualquer covers .
