Biografia:
Jimmie Van Zant, (1956 - 07 de Abril de 2016) era primo de três grandes nomes do Southern Rock, os irmãos Ronnie (Lynyrd Skynyrd), Donnie (38 Special) e Johnny Van Zant (Lynyrd Skynyrd). Quando criança, Jimmie viu os seus primos alcançarem o sucesso no cenário Southern Rock. Desde então, Jimmie decidiu conduzir sua própria carreira para continuar mantendo o nome Van Zant na linha de frente do Southern Rock.
Jimmie Van Zant nasceu em Jacksonville, Flórida.
