Biografia:
Jan Akkerman é um guitarrista holandês, integrante da formação original da banda de rock progressivo Focus, junto com o tecladista Thijs van Leer, de grande fama nos anos 70.
Em 1973, no auge do sucesso do Focus, ele foi escolhido com melhor guitarrista do mundo pela revista britânica Melody Maker. Deixou a banda em 1976 para seguir carreira solo, gravando mais de doze álbuns, e ainda mantém-se em atividade.
