Biografia:
É uma poeta nigeriana / americana, artista, cantora, ativista e educadora. Sua música inclui elementos de soul e R & B , do rock , hip hop e jazz . Iyeoka começou sua carreira musical, fundando o grupo The Rock pelo Funk Tribe, um coletivo de músicos que lhe permitiram entrelaçar sua poesia com o jazz, blues, funk e gospel. Ela lançou seu primeiro álbum solo de corpo inteiro de poema-canções, chamado Preto e Blues , em 2004, através Phanai Records
