Biografia:
O Green River é uma banda norte-americana, formada em Seattle em 1983, por membros que posteriormente formariam o Mudhoney e o Mother Love Bone. Em 1985 lançou seu primeiro álbum musical, "Come on Down". A banda é tida como a precursora do gênero Grunge.
Em geral, Green River é considerado amplamente como sendo depois um dos originador do gênero conhecido como grunge. Com o sludgy deles/delas misture de hard rock, punk e metal, pesadamente influenciado pelo proto-punk original de Iggy Pop e pelo grupo The Stooges.
