Biografia:
Gray Matter es una banda post-hardcore de Washington, DC, quien tocó durante la década de 1980 y 90. Se disolvió en 1986, pero volvió a juntarse en 1990.
El 12 de septiembre de 2008, la banda se reunió para una muestra de la reunión para celebrar el 15 aniversario de Black Cat, un club nocturno en Washington DC, en parte propiedad de miembro de la banda Dante Ferrando. La banda tocó la totalidad del Take It Back EP.
Gray Matter formada oficialmente en el verano de 1983 de las cenizas de varios grupos de punk de Washington DC.
