From Ashes to New foi formada em 2013 na área de Lancaster, na Pensilvânia. Em 2015, eles lançaram uma segunda longa-metragem estendida, Downfall, como um gosto do seu álbum de estreia, programado para ser lançado em 2016. O primeiro dia foi lançado em 26 de fevereiro de 2016. Uma edição de luxo foi lançada em 18 de novembro de 2016 e contém a versão acústica de Lost and Alone e três novas faixas. A banda gravou uma música com o CFO, "Hail the Crown", a música tema principal do WWE 205 Live.
