Biografia:
Daniel & the Lion's songs evoke power in their spareness, similar to Eau Claire indie darling Bon Iver. They play honest Wisconsin folk music. Their music is a mix of dusty folk and falsetto soul. Daniel Pingrey plays marimba and piano, Cody Wheeler plays the drums, Hilary Neesam plays organ and sings harmony, while Jimmie Linville plays guitar and sings melody. Daniel is the music, Jimmie is the songs.
Their influences are among others: Counting Crows, Bon Iver, Ray LaMontagne, Ryan Adams, Donovan Woods, Bob Dylan, The Beatles.
