Biografia:
A carreira de Axel Rudi Pell iniciou em 1980 com o Steeler, uma banda que vendeu mais de 30 mil cópias do seu maior sucesso, o álbum "Strikes Back". Oito anos depois, "Undercover Arrival", o quarto disco do Steeler, marcou o fim das atividades do grupo. Mas o guitarrista alemão queria mais e, em novembro daquele mesmo ano, ele montou a sua própria banda, que levaria o seu nome. Ele convidou Joerg Deisinger (ex-Bonfire), o baterista Jorg Michael (que anos depois viria a conquistar a fama tocando no Stratovarius
