Kat Dahlia é o nome artístico musical da cantora e compositora Katriana Huguet. Dahlia nasceu em Miami Beach, Flórida, em 1991. Seus pais eram cubano-americanos. Ela começou a escrever canções com a idade de 15. Para suporte musical ela começou a partir de canções no YouTube. Ela deixou Miami para Nova York aos 18 anos com suas economias a partir de um trabalho de garçonete. Depois de viver e trabalhar em Nova York, ela lançou um EP e vídeo da música que chamou a atenção da ex-chefe Universal Motown Sylvia Rhone.
