Biografia:
Julie Doiron começou sua carreira nos anos 90, como baixista da banda canadense Eric's Trip. O nome da banda foi escolhido por causa de uma canção do Sonic Youth. A banda fez certo sucesso, sendo uma das primeiras bandas canadenses a fazer parte da gravadora Sub Pop. Em 1996 a banda se separou e no mesmo ano, Doiron lançou seu primeiro álbum solo, intitulado "Broken Girl". Diferente do que apresenta com o Eric's Trip, o primeiro álbum da canadense apresenta um violão leve e canções intimistas, num clima tímido e lo-fi.
