Biografia:
Irene Cara (Nova Iorque, 18 de março de 1959), nome artístico de Irene Escalera, é uma cantora, compositora e atriz estadunidense.
É ganhadora de dois Oscars de melhor canção, além de diversos outros prêmios, incluindo o Grammy e o Globo de Ouro, por duas vezes.
Nos anos 70, Irene foi a estrela de The Everything Show, um programa transmitido somente em Nova Iorque. Foi a original Daisy Allen no antigo seriado diário Love of Life, em 1974
