Biografia:
George Shearing (Londres, 13 de agosto de 1919) é um pianista de jazz britânico. Cego de nascença, George começou a tocar piano aos três anos de idade. São perceptíveis as suas influências pelos grandes pianistas de boogie-woogie e de clássicos como Fats Waller, Earl Hines, Teddy Wilson, Erroll Garner, Art Tatum e Bud Powell.
Ao final dos anos 30, começou a tocar profissionalmente com a 'Ambrose Dance Band' e fez a sua primeira gravação em 1937
