Etta James, nascida Jamesetta Hawkins, (Los Angeles, 25 de janeiro de 1938 — Riverside, 20 de janeiro de 2012) foi uma cantora norte-americana de blues, R&B, jazz e música gospel. Também era conhecida como Miss Peaches.
Filha de uma mãe solteira de 16 anos, afro-americana e nascida de duas raças diferentes, ela procurou saber quem era seu pai, desconhecido até então, que sua mãe disse ser Minnesota Fats e do qual ela recebia pensão na condição de manter segredo sobre sua paternidade.
