Erykah Abi Wright (nascida em 26 de fevereiro de 1971), mais conhecida pelo nome artístico Erykah Badu, é uma cantora/compositora americana, produtora musical, ativista e atriz. A carreira de Badu começou depois de abrir um show para D'Angelo em 1994 em sua cidade natal: Dallas, Texas; Kedar Massenburg ficou extramente impressionado com sua performance e arrumou contrato para ela com a Kedar Entertainment. Seu primeiro álbum, 'Baduizm', foi lançado em 11 de fevereiro de 1997.
