Built To Spill é uma banda americana de indie rock. A banda é conhecida por seus riffs de guitarra que grudam no ouvido e a voz peculiar de Doug Martsch.
Martsch era o líder da banda Treepeople antes de formar o Built to Spill em 1992 com Brett Netson e Ralf Youtz como membros originais. Em uma entrevista para a revista Spin, Martsch declarou que ele pretendia mudar a formação da banda a cada álbum, e o próprio Martsch seria o único membro permanente.
