I wrote this song in honor of Endewearde's friends, John and Anya, from Trimaris.
They stumbled upon our fair shire one day, stayed for two years, and had to move on.
They took with them a bit of Endewearde and left some of themselves behind. They are welcomed
friends and will be missed.

Intro: Am / F / G / Am ///////

Am C G Am
One dark and stormy night I was traveling on the road.
C G Am
I spied a light up ahead, and I was so tired and cold.
C G Am
The light, it shown so brightly against the cold and dark.
F G Am
It called to me. It beckoned me. It said, "Now stranger, hark!
C G Am
“This place, it is called Endewearde! Our weather and our land
C G Am
Can be trying and will test you, and have broken many a man.
C G Am
But here you can find shelter against the cold and rain.
F G Am
Warm yourself by our fire and let go of your pain.

Chorus"

C G Am G Am
“In Endewearde you'll find a friend, and you will surely be
G F Dm E
Comforted and relieved by our hospitality.
Am G Am G Am
Warm yourself, share our board, and sing with us our songs.
F G Am
And when you leave, you'll take with you a friendship true and strong.”

Am / F / G / Am ///////

C G Am
I sat there by the fire and I filled my belly well.
C G Am
And listened to their stories and their songs. I'm here to tell,
C G Am
Ne'er had I felt more at home as I sat beside that fire.
F G Am
And soon my spirits rose, I no longer felt so tired.
C G Am
The mead was sweet and strong and it warmed me to the bone.
C G Am
I clapped and sang along with them as they shared with me their home.
C G Am
Oh how the folk of Endewearde have always welcomed me!
F C Am
And as I travel on my way, it's where I long to be.

Chorus"
